A Love Story That Began with a Swipe
Joshua and Amy’s love story is proof that destiny works in mysterious ways. In August 2019, they met through the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. What started as a simple match quickly evolved into an endless exchange of messages. They connected instantly, sharing stories, laughter, and a spark of excitement that neither of them could ignore.
The very next day, they met in person for their first date at a local mall. A romantic dinner at Maggiano’s set the stage for something truly special. Amy couldn’t help but notice how tall Joshua was, but it was his warmth and charm that left a lasting impression. As they strolled through the mall, laughing and talking for hours, Joshua dropped hints about a second date before their first one had even ended.
On September 13, 2019, they officially became a couple. Over the next two years, their love grew deeper through fun outings, FaceTime calls, and countless unforgettable moments. By August 2021, they were inseparable and decided to take the next step—moving in together.
A Furry Addition & A Promise of Forever
One and a half years later, a spontaneous trip to a local pet store changed their lives forever. That day, they welcomed their beloved dog, Cooper, into their family. Their little fur baby became a source of endless joy and solidified their love even more.
Then, on Valentine’s Day 2023, Joshua took Amy ring shopping. Together, they custom-designed an octagonal-shaped ring—a perfect representation of their unique and unbreakable bond. Little did Amy know, this was only the beginning of an even bigger surprise.
The Perfect Surprise Proposal at North Topsail Beach
On July 30, 2023, during a trip to North Topsail Beach, Joshua put his carefully thought-out proposal plan into action. With the breathtaking ocean as their backdrop and the sound of the waves to set the mood, he led Amy to the dock behind their Airbnb. The moment was intimate, beautiful, and filled with anticipation.
With the sun setting over the water, Joshua got down on one knee and asked Amy the most important question of their lives. Overcome with joy and with happy tears streaming down her face, Amy said YES! The moment was perfect, and we were there to capture every second of it.
